National Wildlife Federation Certified Habitat!

Others may laugh, but I'm proud to say that my backyard is now officially certified with a designated national number with the National Wildlife Federation.  Sure, it's a great way to raise money as an organization when you purchase the sign, but it works for me.

You can join too!  Do your part to help our neighborhood wildlife and nature.  It's a simple thing and it lets others know they can do their part too.  Even if no one joins, adding a bird feeder, water fountain or bird bath goes a long way in the extremes we face in our individual climates and seasons these days.  Especially with neighborhoods reaching farther and farther out into virgin areas.  It's a very simple thing to do and it should give you a satisfied feeling to do even the littleist things.

So now I'll get off my soapbox.  And thanks to all the other nature bloggers out there for spreading the word and showing everyone what's out our backdoors.

You can certify your yard, property or space on the national register (HERE).
