I was busy yesterday and cranked out two new upcycled birdhouses using silverplate antique items. This is one of them with the other being the Silverplate Candlestick Pitcher Birdhouse. I think I'm up to about 30+ birdhouses made to date out of found items. Whew! Time flies.
This birdhouse kind of slowly started to resemble the structure of a trophy as a continued building it. I started with an antique silver base to a Svea (of Sweden) No. 121 camping stove. It's got the pump/primer valve and fold down legs. From there, I had some pieces to a silver candlestick to bring up the height. After that, I used the top to a silverplate candy dish to got under the bottom of the English Breakfast Tea Canister. Handles from various silverplate items were used for the side handles and the perch. I used an inverted silverplate cup on top with a small footing of another cup on top of that. Silver all the way around!
This great birdhouse is ready to go and can be yours in my Etsy Shop (HERE).
