The GadgetSponge Family of Repurposed Creatives

Hey junkers!  Got some goodies I wanted to share with you that my son and daughter have produced.

Creativity runs freely through the family.   Besides the mess I make in the garage, my wife is skilled at many crafts like high-end card making, jewelry, complex scrapbooking, and a jack-of-all-trades for us around the house.  My daughter produces beautiful paintings, collage art, complex face painting and much more.  My oldest son takes up residence in the garage also and is just getting started with his own repurposed creations.  My youngest son (6) is just enjoying his massive collection of firetrucks and emergency vehicles.

Here's a few of my son's latest repurposed pieces...

The piece above features original, vintage blueprints along with custom painted, distressed and waxed color blocks.

This one features the custom painted blocks also with various cities and states highlighted on the other blocks.

This one features different map pieces of the New Orleans, LA area along with traditionally painted and distressed Mardi Gras colored blocks.

And here's a couple of my daughters collage art pieces that she makes by tearing color pieces out of magazines to find her shades of color she needs.  She learned it from a dear friend and artist we know in Minden, Louisiana.

Anyway, that's it for now.  I figured I would promote the great art of my children since it's my blog.  Ha!  I hope you all enjoyed it and expect more in the future from the rest of the GadgetSponge family!
