Golden-Headed Weevil Visit

Yesterday while outside we ran across an insect that almost looked alien.  So, you know me -- I had to run and grab the camera.  After much, much time spent online trying to figure out what visitor we had, it turns out this is a Golden-Headed Weevil.  They have some variations in colors.  The feed on orchard foliage, like pecan trees.  They aren't considered pests but there's not much known on the life cycle or habits of this colorful creature.
