Upcycled Vintage Yardstick Side Table
This little side table was a blast to create. I had many vintage yardsticks and gave some newer ones some added color and distressing to tie the whole design together. The light green trim is some vintage door trim with some really nice chippy layers of paint. The base is from a vintage galvanized washtub. I sanded all the rust off and gave it two colors of paint. Then sanded it back down in areas for effect and sealed it. The feet are vintage garden faucet handles. The whole surface was given many coats of varnish to protect it from moisture and everyday use.
Coming very soon is this table's "big brother". A four-foot long hall or sofa table with a yardstick top and sewing machine base!
