I've been trying to keep an eye out on what dragonflies come by the visit the yard, as if keeping up with the kinds of birds wasn't enough. But it's pretty slow with bird traffic right now. Just the usual suspects.
Erythemis simplicicollis
I've seen this variety of critter a good bit around the yard so it was easy to start with this one and identify it. Apparently as the males age, they turn more and more a dusty blue color all over while the females pretty much stay the same as the one above. I'm not sure what gender this one is. I just started this -- give me a break! Haha.
